Activities 3rd Week ( Teaching Time)

Activities on 3rd Week
Assalamualaikum Wr.wb..

Hallo readers!! Even actualy its into 4th week.  I will told you about the activities on 3rd weeks because this is my free time to upload again!! Yeayyyy check this is out:

Firstly i want to inform you about curriculum analysis of FEUHigh School, which is that curriculum also applied by all the school of Manila. Here i inform you, the curriculum related to my major  and objectives wht i have to taught :

Based on that, generally Senior High School core curriculum in Philippines there are eight learning areas such as language, humanities, communication, mathematics, philosophy, science, social sciences, and PE and Health, which where the curriculum shall be contextualization and globalized. Contextualizatition makes lessons more interesting as the topics are realted to things that are already familiar to the learner. The curriculum shall be flexible enough to enable and allow schools to localized, indigenize, and anchance the curriculum based on their repective educational and social context.
With this curriculum, in this 21st Century, Philippines holistically developed their Filipino  with 21st Century skills such as :

a.       Information, Media, and Technology skills which included  visual information literacies, media literacy, basic scientific, economy and technological, literacies and multicultural literacy and global awareness
b.      Learning and Innovation Skills included creativity and curiousity, critical thingking, problem solving skills, and risk taking.
c.       Communication skills included collaboration and interpersonal skils within English for academic and professional purposes.
d.      Life and Career Skilss included flexibility and adaptability, initiative and self direction, social and crosscultural skills, productivity and accountability, leadership and responsibility, and ethical, moral, and spiritual values.

I cannot expect that this is already three weeks passed , of course I have learned a lot about the observation of some classes. In this week, I will going to direct teaching of some classes. I was given four classes to handle  such are STEM 2,3,8 and 13 all of them  grade 12. The topics I have to taught about electrostatics especially electric charge, Coulomb’s Law, and Electric Field.
We agreed that teaching need some preparation, so that’s why I did lesson plan, power point presentation, and thingking about what methods I used to making the students not boring anymore during the lessons. Here my lesson plan what i have made

This weeks became my ‘dag-dig-dug’ moment.. because I just realized that I will be teach and evaluated by my coorperating teacher and another teacher especially the Executive Director of FEU High School. I was little bit nervous. But happily, I informed you that :

On topics of Electric Charges, I explained them about the goals after the objectives , and at the beginning of the class a  I decided to making simple experiments, so I given them some materials needed and worksheet experiments. They working in groups and I  divided into 4 groups, after the experiments representative of each group concluding their observe, then to made student fully understand, we continued the objectives with I explained the subject.  In the end, I given them some assignment.

3. Closing Activities

After showed objectives, i given students some problem set to evaluate student how far them understand, as follows:

Problem Set #1: Electric Force
Directions: Read and carefully analyze each problem. Write you complete solutions (G.R.E.S.A) on the space provided after each item. Box your answers. Express your final answer to three decimal places.
1.     What is the magnitude and direction of the force on the charge of +4.0 x 10 -9 C that is 5cm from a charge of +5.0 x 10 -8 C?
2.      Two charges repel each other with a force of 10 -5 N when they are 20 cm apart. (a.) what is the force on each other when they are 5cm apart? (b.) when they are 100cm apart?
3.      A test charge of +1 x 10 -6 is placed halfway between a charge of +5.0 x 10 -6 and a charge of +3 x 10 -6 that are 20 cm apart.  Find the magnitude and the direction of force on the test charge.

4.      A test charge of +2 x 10 -7 C is located 5cm to the right of a charge of +1 x 10 -6 C and 10cm to the left of a charge of -1 x 10 -6 C. The three charges lie on a straight line. Find the force on the test charge.

C. Objectives: Electric Fields

The last topics, about Electric Field and its became my final demo as last subject I taught. As my  last demo, I did prepared well, thingking the best methods I have to improve.

 Direction:
 GROUP WORK
  1. The class will be divided into 4 groups.
  2. Each group will be given sheets of paper for your answer.
  3. Questions will be posted on the screen.
  4. Groups will be given 30 seconds to answer each problem.
  5. The group has to choose one representative to post their answers on the board. Whoever posts their correct answer will be given the point.
Question :
1. A +3 μC charge is placed at a distance r from a  –9 μC charge. If the charge experiences a force of 6000 N, what is the electric field intensity E at point P?  Draw the figure based on question
2. Which one The Right Figure of line electric field force ? and Determine true and False

3. Based on figure of line electric field force below. Which the right charged represented A and B ?

 Time Management and Organizing Activities
In my first meeting I taught about electric charge with experiment activities. At the first class (STEM 2), activities of experiment were not completed because the over time. I had long time to explain the materials because i have to explain clearly with repeat for some concept of the objectives. So, the experiment i made for students, did not happen and just show to them. The second class (STEM 3), the activities were completed but almost overtime because I changed the methods, experiment as my first activities to students as introduction session, the level of competency was same. The last one, (STEM 13) the class was very noisy, and the level of competency was the lowest than the two classes.  But I was complete the experiment on time I did not need long time even I have to try hard to explain the main topics of the objectives for short time.

Second meeting, I handled four classes such as STEM 2, 3, 8, 13 and focus to given some example and quiz but this quiz became assignment with objectives Coulomb’s Law. But to made classes not bored, i given them some simple yelled like when i said Hi they have to said Hallo. During taught, over all of four classes I could explained with completely and I could manage my time enough more than yesterday. The new class who I thought was STEM 8 and the level of competency of these classes highest than three classes. They were easier to understand.

In three meeting, I taught electric field which still related two topics before and this topics became my final demo teaching in FEU High School. Some activities I planned like funny icebreaker and games at the end of the class and given them gift as appreciate. I have learned a lot in my meeting before so i tried hard to be discipline ,  In the first  and second class , I could completed enough. But in the third and fourth class I could completely with on time and I did. They were so excited in class moreover when games time and I appreciate them with gift.

 Problem-solving
Actually, I had experiment in my class. There was also fill in answer of question in worksheet experiments in my lesson plan, even I did it’s not have enough time. More than that, fill in worksheet experiment seems like activity for writing, but before that the students have to done experiments, I have to try hard to explained the  objectives . So, I decided to do explain the material as short as I can do and still according to the main topic and students understand. moreover if they started noisy, to solve that case I used simple yell if it’s not working I closed to them and I asked to them to repeated again what I said and then another things sometimes during teaching, there was the student who came late in the lesson, and of course I should not let, and solve that problem with asked the students about previous topic.

  Classroom management
When I teaching, I walked around the class to see students’ work, and facilitate students if they had a question and to made sure that all students understood about the materials and the instructions.  I also used simple yelled and simple ice breaker to manage class moreover if students started noisy. Because with this way it is easier to get their attentions. Involve students quickly and they could focus back to the objectives.
